We Are ALLTERNET
An institutional anchor for systemic change — bridging strategy, experimentation, and conscious capital across geographies and disciplines.
To design, connect, and activate systems of change that address complex global challenges with integrity, innovation, and measurable impact.
A world where complex challenges are addressed through integrated systems thinking, collaborative innovation, and conscious capital.
What Guides Us
Six PrinciplesIntegrity
We act with honesty, accountability, and transparency in all that we do.
Systems Thinking
We see the whole picture — the interconnections, feedback loops, and leverage points that others miss.
Collaboration
We build bridges across sectors, disciplines, and geographies to create lasting alliances.
Innovation
We experiment boldly, learn rapidly, and iterate until we find what actually works.
Sustainability
We design solutions built to endure — regenerative by nature, not just by intention.
Impact
We measure what matters and hold ourselves accountable to tangible, systemic outcomes.
An Institutional Anchor for Systemic Change
Allternet was founded on a simple observation: complex challenges are rarely solved by single actors working in isolation. The organisations best positioned to create change — governments, NGOs, impact investors, academia, and the private sector — often operate in separate silos, pursuing parallel but unconnected agendas.
We exist to close that gap. As a systems advisory and design firm, we serve as a connective tissue between the strategic, the experimental, and the financial. We do not deliver reports and move on — we co-design, prototype, test, and scale solutions alongside our partners.
Our work spans geographies and disciplines because the challenges we address — climate adaptation, food security, economic inclusion, governance — do not respect borders or sector boundaries. Allternet's model is built for the complexity of the 21st century.
Part of a wider continental movement.
Allternet's African Living Labs do not stand alone. We plug into the work of climate, governance, and community-development organisations across the continent — coordination, learning, and mutual amplification are part of how the Labs operate.
